'...I got off the plane'

The perfect end, to the perfect tv series. I'm positive that I don't speak alone when I say that f.r.i.e.n.d.s. really is one of the best tv series ever made! It has comedy, romance...it has everything! And I love it for just that reason! I think I've watched the whole series seven times over and I'm STILL not bored of it (which my family hate!) So, I watched the last one ever again today and it still makes me get all teary. Will she get off the plane? Won't she get off the plane? I so hoped she got off the plane! And yet again she did! Ross and Rachel have definetly set the standards for relationships in my eyes! The one thing I always wonder is which friend am I? But my friends have made it pretty clear that I'm a Monica! I used to see that as a negative thing, but now I just embrace it! I mean, who wouldn't want to be a Monica? The wedding planner, the whistles, the seriously messy cupboard and 11 categories of towels...she's pretty awesome! And I love that! Yep, f.r.i.e.n.d.s is definetly my favourite tv series of all time! And that's including Glee, New Girl and Ugly Betty! I hope it lives on forever...which friend do you think you are? xoxo

MY perfect shoes!

I blogged about my gorgeous 'to be' shoes a bit ago. You know, the perfect red stilleto that I've dreamed of owning for a billion years (I know I haven't been alive that long). But finally I ordered them to complete my prom outfit, which I am very excited about! And....drum roll...they finally came! Yaaaay! I'm sorry about the short post but I'm so excited... I'm literally over the moon! Yay! My perfect red shoes are actually mine! xoxo

This dress has yet again seemed to jump into my wardrobe! It came to my attention this week that I spend hours talking about this dress, which gives the impression that I constantly wear it! I swear I don't, I've only wore it four times, but that does not cancel out my love for this dress. I actually feel sorry for the other dresses in my wardrobe...perhaps I should talk about them more! I find it really hard to take time to take my outfit shots as I am still at school, right in the middle of my GCSE's. By the time I've got home, all the daylight has dissapeared, so I guess I ought to take as many outfit photos at the weekends as I can. This outfit was for my friend's birthday party. She's one of the funniest people you'll ever meet and I'm lucky to have her as a friend. I guess I've been inspired by all the fashion blogs out there to mix up my outfits more, so I've started wearing more jewelerry to mix it up a bit! But, I seem to have misplaced all of my belts...either that or they ran away from me because I ignored them far too much! So this outfit is my gorgeous red dress with clashing lacey tights....who doesn't love a bit of lace? Also, I've added my rusty jumper, which I wouldn't normally put with red but it kind of worked, with my brogues and a clash of jewellery. I've just realised that I have been talking so much that I forgot to wish Amie a happy birthday (granted it's late, but I did tell her on the day).

 I blogged a bit ago about my love for shoes and finding the perfect red shoe. I've found out that the asos shoe I posted about is my perfect shoe and soon shall become my prom shoe to go with my 50's style dress! I absolutely cannot wait till prom, and although some other people may not be, I'm really excited to see everyone for one last time! I think that prom is one of those things you just can't miss...I'm certainly not going to! With only about four months to go, I am literally counting down the days and hours left at my school. There's only a certain amount of time you can spend in one place! I guess when it's just exams, you get tired of it all. I literally can't wait till the weekends at the moment and really can't wait till I get a break from school. And once I do, it will take a while until I can ever where a blazer again. Yes it's a great fashion staple, but it is so school related and that's the last thing I want to think about at the moment! It's just a phase!

One last thing until I leave you to a peaceful Sunday (as it should be) is anyone else obsessed with awards ceremonies at the moment? I know it's the season and so it's probably a total cliche thing to say...but Ican't get enough of them! I love them, it's weird seeing your favourite actors up there in person acting well real. That sounds silly, but it's true, maybe we all prefer reality? Either that or we're just drawn in by the whole glamour of films x I'd love to know your opinions on that...I wasn't kidding when I said I was obsessed! Have a lovely, peaceful Sunday guys xoxo

Spring into my life!

I apologise for the silly title, but I just couldn't resist myself! With Spring around the corner, I can't wait to ditch the coat and wooly items and start walking around bare legged and glorious! Or not, seen as my legs aren't that glorious! I love different seasons, simply because I like the change in atmosphere and the change to my outfits! Going from massive coats to skimpy shorts through to denim jackets seems to make me smile. And yes, I'm very aware that small things make me happy, but hey I'm happy and I guess that's all that matters. And my coat has already gone! I know, we're only in Februrary, but the sun came out early...I'm not going to complain am I? I'm definetly looking forward to wearing florals! I have an obsession, but only have a few floral items...I guess that's yet another thing I'd like to buy...my saving of money isn't looking to great at this point. It's silly being this happy over sun, but there's just something about it...I really can't help but smile!!! Have a fabulously sunny spring day (I don't even know if it's spring yet but ahh well!)

Friends...

When you've had a rough day and you've had a lot of ups and downs, all you need is talk to your friends. I adore my friends to bits, and I know that I'm not always the easiest of people (I guess I take patience- but we all have our quirks don't we?) So, I guess this post is a thankyou to my friends for always being by me even if I'm having one of my down days...without them, I honestly don't know what I'd do. Thankyou for putting up with me even through my down days! xoxo

In with the old...

I guess I'm actually trying to save money at the minute for a new laptop, so instead of shopping as much, I'm planning on forgetting about the new and bringing back the old! So all of the clothes I wore yesterday, I got at least a year ago, but tried to mix them up a bit differently to create a brand new outfit! I had a few friends round yesterday, and we just did the usual thing a.k.a stuff our faces with food and sit infront of the tv for hours on end! But, we also decided that it would be quite fun to create a group blog! So, after a little convincing and a lot of deliberating over the name, we created Very Odd Socks! It's basically just the three of us, blogging maybe once a week to have a space where we can blog about slightly different things and to just do something we love as one really! I also had chance to take some outfit shots yesterday, which are essentially my first real outfit shots that are outside and actually turned out half decent!

Valentine's day

Happy late Valentine’s Day! This is the one day that can either be overly depressing or fill you with happiness! Yesterday was a day that filled me with happiness because I spent it with friends. Spontaneously, we set off to Clumber Park yesterday and it seemed like a lifetime since I’d been there. Admittedly, a few childhood memories came back that weren’t as pleasant… I never realised how scared of swans I was! They’re beautiful until they give you dead eye (seriously). But, it was a beautiful day which just made the walk even better. The snow cleared up as soon as it came and it still had a bit of a chill in the air which was just beautiful, but the sun was out and shining brightly. It seems all I’m doing all week is going out, but I must spend time to sit down tomorrow and work since I have a tonne of it that I still haven’t attempted. Anyway, we took a few pictures yesterday and outfit shots that I thought I’d share. Hope you all had a fabulous Valentine’s Day and that you spent it with the people you love xoxo

Where to start!

Gosh, it seems like a while since I've sat down! Maybe I am over exageratting a little, but still! So yesterday was Eli's party which was great. Obviously I went as a pink lady and we had all sorts of other combinations... little red riding hood, super women, britney spears and a punk! And that's just a few of the combinations! It was great fun. We played alot of childish games and I must say I was soo tired when I got home! Don't ask why, but I just feel like falling to sleep! Admittedly the pictures from this party aren't great obviously because of my camera, but I'll share a few pictures! Apologies due to the fact I didn't get any pictures of just me in my costume...it was all a little bit of a rush to say the least yesterday.

So, that was yesterday! I got home shattered, and then realised that I had to wake up at seven because I was going shopping for birthday presents again. Admittedly, I didn't look great today, but when you have about an hour to do everything including getting out of the house, I think it'll do. So I wore my Henry Holland (reliant as ever) and met Megan and Eli to do some serious birthday shopping! We got everything done and had fun too, I'm pretty sure we spent more time eating though. We were all tired (that's my constant excuse) I did manage to buy 'one day' though which I had seen in the cinema and thought it was the sweetest thing ever! Definetly recommended! I also found out today that Eli has started a blog (last November) but kept it very secret as it was slightly the opposite of our kind of blog! It is called the anti cheese movement and is hillarious (just like talking to her) so if you have a chance to check it out you can find her through the blogs I follow or through my followers, because it is very funny and just great! So, I had a fabulous two days and bring on tomorrow! Happy Valentines day for tomorrow! Weekends.

Do you know that feeling? The feeling where you are so relieved because it's finally the weekend? Well, I feel like that. After trying to stay awake all week, it's nice to know that for once I can just sleep and know that noone will care. So tomorrow, I'm planning a very relaxing day of watching films and eating rubbish all day. To me, that sounds like the perfect Saturday, but Sunday is a little odd for a Sunday I must say. Sunday, it is my friend Eli's party and I am definetly looking forward to it! It's fancy dress and so I am going as a pink lady and yes I will be posting plenty of images of this outfit! I was so excited to dress up as a pink lady because grease is one of my favourite films ever! I think it's everyones dream to dress up as a pink lady. I squealed when the jacket came! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's outfits too!
Apologies for not blogging all week, but it's simply because I have nothing to write about. My life is going quite slow at the minute, which is not a complaint in anyway, but it means I haven't got much to write about. The only really exciting thing happening at the moment is that it's everyone's birthdays almost all at once, but even then that just leaves me with little to no money. But, I love to see the face of the person you're buying the gift for! So after my party, I'm heading shopping again, but for once not for me, but to get Emma's present which again I'm excited about and want to keep myself! I'm going through I weird phase in fashion at the moment. I normally wake up and know exactly what to wear, but for some reason I'm feeling a bit nowhere. I get up and can't even tell whether I want to wear a dress or jeans! But, hey if that's all I have to worry about then I'd say lifes pretty good! I'm aiming to keep on top of outfit posts this year, because I love reading other people's outfit posts, so I do hope you enjoy looking at my outfits too! Anyway, I'll end it here because I seem to be babbling have a very good weekend, and don't do too much work xoxo 

Finally

Finally the long wait has paid off, and as you may have been able to tell from yesterday's post, it has snowed! I couldn't wait to get off out in, but had to wait a whole day before I could and when I actually did I managed to get wet through due to a very serious sledging accident! But it was so worth it because had an amazing time! I know in England, they say that the weather is awful, but it hardly ever snows so this is perhaps why Im so excited...I'd like to think that anyway. Had a very good day and yes I did look very weird by the end of the day, with dripping wet hair and hand warmers in the back pockets of my jeans to keep my bum warm! So we ended up taking refuge inside and playing snaps...the only card game I seem to be able to understand and my reactions were still too slow for that! I'll stick to just dance I think! It's snowing!

I was just busy at work (I know on a Saturday) and I looked up and it was snowing!!! Im so happy! I don't why the snow makes me so happy it just does! It's just so pretty! I know this is short, but that's because I may have to go out in it like now! Yay! xoxo

Poppy's day off!

By now you all should know about my addiction to shops, but hey you only get one go at life and also I had an excuse this time: I needed a present for Eli because it's her birthday next week. So I went shopping with Emma today and I got Eli's present, which I secretly want to keep, but will have to give it away next week. So, anyway we had a sophisticated coffee at costa and I had a lemon and Poppy seed muffin (which I highly recommend...afterall it is to die for!) Then, we hit the shops. Not only do I have an obsession with shops, but there is one specific shop that I adore! Henry Holland. Henry Holland land is a dream land and I absolutely adore the hat from there. I try it on every single time I walk into this dream land. I'm wanting to buy it, but I'm scared I won't wear it, but hey next time I will buy. Knowing my luck, it will now be gone though! But here's a preview...

I so wish I'd have bought it! I have a serious obsession with hats. So, if you're a regular reader, you'll also be aware that I wanted to buy more seperates, so I was on the hunt for seperates today! I tried on a lovely blue top from Apricot, but I was a little unsure at the time and also didn't buy that, but kind of wish I had. Emma tried on a gorgeous Warehouse top too.

I apologise for the flash...perhaps I should have turned it off! We also tried on some dresses in Dorothy Perkins, but we didn't buy them as we weren't too sure. But, I did buy a new top and scarf (yay) and Emma bought a top from Miss Selfridge. I had a really good day, but I am now exhausted so I may have to sleep all weekend long! xoxo
