Yes, apparently this month I have turned into a full fledged cat woman! I hope you've all had a happy January and also that your February is even better! xoxo

I've got the magic in me...

Okay, so the snow has gone now... thank goodness, I was actually beginning to get bored of wearing my wellies, it's not that I don't love them, but it's hard to walk up and down stairs in them! So, I took these photos last week when I decided to try a new outfit, which I quite liked, but the wellies and owl cuffs made the outfit look a little out of proportion, so maybe I won't wear all of this together again!
I do realise that taking outfit photos when I get in from post 16 isn't a very good idea, my makeup looks smudged with my outfit completely out of place!

Spending time in the kitchen.

This is one of my new years resolutions that seems to have stuck! Basically because the rest were pretty wishy washy and included things like ,'spend more time with my friends,' I see them every week day and most weekends so I really no longer see how I can improve that one? Maybe I could improve it but half of the time it depends if they're busy or not!

I'd like to try and exercise a bit more (ya know, just for the sake of it) and when I say exercise, yes I do mean prancing about in my living room pretending I look just like the instructor on the TV - how do those people not loose their breath?!?! I did accidentally stumble upon the fitness channel and watched fifteen minutes of a Pilate's/ dance exercise (and yes, I literally mean sat there watching it) so I thought I'd tape that and give it a go... no surprise I still haven't got round to it! Maybe that's a Wednesday afternoon activity!

Anyway, as you know I'm okay at baking, it's fun and you get to make pretty things, but cooking? I can cook pasta with a sauce, and chuck on some veg and I'm pretty good at following a recipe... but I realised I'd never made soup! Do you see where this one is going yet? So I decided to make some soup, it turned out pretty good to be honest if I do say so myself! I ended up making more of it yesterday as I'm full of cold and my throat and nose have teamed up to make me stop sleeping apparently... I know, thanks very much- not! Anyway... have a look at the soup and make yourselves jealous!!!

'I just want a brand new start...'

I am sat, awaiting the aunnoucenment of the snow...the ten inches of snow that will ultimately close school meaning that I can have a day of... well sleeping and films? But, I'm afraid that that is highly unlikely, never the less we can hope!

So yesterday, I decided I'd have a day of none work (which I had to make up for today) and go out and play in the snow with my friends! It was great fun, but it turns out I'm a target in the snow... and I can't throw a snow ball very well, so I pretty much died.

I was so so cold when I got in, but totally worth it... all in all pretty good day! I'll be back with more thrilling none snow related posts soon!

P.S technical problems sorted

'Yeah love is an ocean of sweet emotion.'

Okay, you may have guessed by now... I've decided to give my post title lyrics simply because I find it fascinating when people quote songs and it makes me want to go searching for the lyrics! So these photos are from yesterday and I quite lucky that I took them when I did, because the snow picked up and it practically snowed all night after that! But, that's okay cause it meant I got to go out into the snow today with my friends (I'll share the pictures soon).

I'm currently curled up against my radiator, considering doing some work... but knowing that that is definitely not likely! I'll just dedicate my day to working tomorrow me thinks! My favourite thing about the snow is how your fingers tingle when you come back inside after being in the freeeezing cold!

And yes, you guessed it, I'm hoping that Post 16 is shut on Monday... I hate that it's so unlikely though!

Keep Dreaming and playing in the snow! xoxo

'My world is full of loveliness'

It just keeps snowing and snowing and snowing! Could life get better? If we're being technical, yeah it probably could, but for now it is just perfect! I've been refusing to take my wellies off all week and finally it has snowed again so I can keep them of for even longer!
Since it's been snowing, we've had a Field fare in our garden which my Dad got rather excited about so I guess it's a big bird thing? So I failed to take a photo of it for him yesterday, so I thought I'd try again but when I stepped outside it looked a bit scared and next doors cat was about so as it happened it flew off. So no photo.

But, I'm sure you've got the general idea that I've wanted to take some outfit photos and I really wanted to do that in the snow so I did! Okay, they weren't great because I took them on my phone, with the timer, lent against my doorstep... it was never the perfect recipe! But, I'm actually quite surprised they came out okay!
I'm hoping that Post 16 will be closed tomorrow (the road are just dangerous- let's be honest!!!!) so that I can go play in the snow, although I would still have to go in for my exam.

Since it's been snowing, I have been putting my knicker hand warmers to use... as bum warmers... seriously my bum was toasty warm!

Anyway, have fun in the snow! Keep Dreaming xoxo

who will sing me lullabies

As far as I'm aware, I will be singing lullabies to myself (for now). I got caught dancing down the corridors today and singing to myself... so I was wrong, I didn't know people were watching okay?
I've decided that I never want to grow up, I'd rather stay a child forever that way you never have any responsibilities or cares or worries or... basically there are so many positives to childhood!

Anyways, it's been snowing this week (you probably all know) and I couldn't convince my friends to come out and play in the snow with me (I know right, how very mature of them!) so I decided to have an quick afternoon bake! In which I produced some little buns, I used the cases and decorations that I received on Christmas... they turned out a little Valentiney!

Keep baking xoxo

'Lying awake in these restless dreams.'

No, I haven't been having restless dreams, thank goodness because I can't stand it when I can't sleep because then you're just staring at your ceiling for hours and hours. Gosh, I can't half get off of topic easily! Anyway, I am planning on getting back on track with this blogging business, I do have a lot of photos on my phone that I've been planning on uploading. I've literally done no outfit shots since I got my hair cut, which is ridiculous because I love my new hair so quite frankly I should be flaunting it!
When I think about my life, nothing has really changed in a while now, but at the same time I've been so busy preparing for change that I haven't had a free second to write The Red Flower. I'm in the middle of my exams at the moment (one down, two to go) so I've been revising quite a lot, it's just tomorrows that I'm super nervous for... maths! Let's hope that it's quite an easy paper with low grade boundaries hey? I've been trying to get some work experience at the moment, but I find it hard when I haven't got a free second, so I shall spend this weekend re-organising myself!
When I did manage to get a whole day off this weekend (I know- amazing) I went to the cinema with the bezzies to watch Les Mis.... which was plain incredible! But if you don't like emotional films avoid it, and if you're willing to watch it because you luuurve musicals like me, take tissues for goodness sake!!! Three out of the four of us that went to see it were crying, and some I did not expect the tears from!!!
Anyway, I hope to back to you soon (and if I'm not feel free to pester because I really want to knuckle down this blog!!!)

Literature.

One of my new things for this year... to keep you up dated with what I'm reading, as it often reflects in my mood! I am taking an AS level in English Literature, which (yes, I'll be honest) I'm terrible at! I love reading - normally chick flicks admittedly- but when people ask my why I think that the book draws in the reader, my mind tends to trip and stumble.
If you asked any of my friends, they'd laugh at the though of me and reading, not because I don't read or I can't read, but because I take months to read a book. Okay, so if a book is really good I could finish it in a week, but if I'm only moderately interested in the book, I'm going to take my time. My pet hate is skim reading, you take nothing in from the book what so ever and you may as well just stare at a wall for a few hours. I like to get to know the characters in the book. As I mentioned, I'm normally glued to chick flicks although English Lit has made me venture into The Kite Runner and The Great Gatsby.
One woman that I'm convinced could write anything and I'd be addicted to it, is Elizabeth Noble... she is a genius! I first stumbled across  her when I read The Girl Next Door and I just loved the way that she set the entire book out and I found the story fascinating from start to end. Last year I borrowed Alphabet Weekend from a friend and yet again loved it!
But, I was in our study last night and came across the book that I loved to bits. Love letters by Katie Fforde. Question- why are all good books or films set in Ireland?... that is the ones that I really love. I swore that I was Laura at the end of that book and head over heals in love (sorry- that was a spoiler!?!?). So, I thought I'd pick another Fforde book to read, so I chose Wedding Season. If you haven't guessed from this post alone, I'm a hopeless romantic and so a book about weddings? Could I really go wrong? I'm hoping to love this book just as much as love letters so I shall keep you posted xoxo
