Baking my stress away.

It kind of says it in the title, when I get stressed I need to do something I enjoy. Don't we all? For most people that's probably a bath and a book. One of my friends likes to drink warm milk, but I like to bake. It's one of those things I don't normally have time for so it's nice to step out of my life for an hour or so and make something yummy.

It's not just the baking though, whenever I go to get out the Biro cooking book (I swear by that book!) I get to look through the draw which is full off recipes! My favourite thing to look through is my Mum's recipe book because it takes me back to a time that even I can't remember but have been told of.

It's your typical recipes that can flip up or down (most of which written in my Mother's handwriting... one in my dodgy writing) but then it's stacked full of inserts and recipes from magazines, or just random ones wrote down from friends and pieces from supermarkets like the Sainsbury's ones, which just happen to be some of my favourite meals- they're easy and taste delicious! So I always enjoy spending a little time flicking through this... it makes me happy, and takes the stress away!
