Stress relief: something we all need from time to time. So I
set about finding stress relief methods, obviously I posted five the other
week, but recently I’ve started walking again. My parents love walking; in fact
they met when they were in ventures and so it’s always been something they
enjoy to do. My grandparents even love it, I guess it’s something that runs in
the family. Molly and I used to go with them all the time, but when you get
older you feel the urge to find a sense of independence and to find your own
hobbies. My solution? Dump the walking! Yep, the only form of exercise in my
life and I decided that that was holding me back!
Perhaps I was mistaken, so I’ve started walking again
recently. Exercise has never been something I enjoyed… I can’t run to save my life;
I don’t see the fun in swimming and don’t even get me started on exercise DVDs!
So, I guess I get on with walking a little better than I thought. And it
actually has really helped me relax. Sometimes in life you’re going to find it
hard to get out of your head and just take five minutes to yourself, but it’s
important that you do. So you have to figure out how you can escape from the
world. I guess that walking Is like my form of escapism (even though it kills
me to admit it). My name is Poppy, and I enjoy walking!
