We've all been in the situation where you pretty much hate the guy that your best friend has fallen for. She probably hyped him up as being perfect and then they turned out to be a selfish user in real life or he ended up breaking her. And being the brilliant friend that we all know you are you have probably supported her throughout the whole thing. Telling her that she's smiling when she has been telling you countless stories and exclaiming that he sounds perfect (which some of the time they actually do) but what do we do when the heart break comes, leaving her to ask us:
Should I just give up?
Am I being stupid?
What would you do?
The fact is that not only have we been the shoulder to lean on, but we've probably been that girl too and so we'd probably end up asking the same questions that she is right now. But, are we being stupid? Why is it that we're willing to put our happiness on the line for some guy that could be the right guy, but isn't interested in us ever being the right girl? Should we just give up?
We'd all be willing to carry on until this guy turns around and literally says no, but that will never happen so maybe sometimes we can't be that supportive friend the whole time. Sometimes we have to be blunt and deal with the tears. Because sometimes it just isn't meant to be.
On the other hand... you never know what will happen if you just keep dreaming xoxo
