As I saw yesterday's news article : set for more sun, I took a huge sigh. More sun? Once upon a time I was begging for a little sun, to work on my tan and be able to lay out in the garden. But, lets be honest, what is there to do when you're out in the sun? I hate reading in the sun because the pages always turn a bit too bright so I end up sat in the conservatory; my cats always walk away from me to go and lie in the bushes and the shade... I'm not going to follow them! So... what is so good about the sun? Because I've probably mentioned before that I do not tan at all! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a paddle in the beach and if it's really sunny then I'd love to go for a short walk. But, where I am, it's very rarely really sunny and if it is then it will rain a bit later or have a big breeze which wafts your dress up.
So, maybe I am the first one to say it out loud and be honest: I can't wait for Winter. I always find it hard to dress for summer, because it has to be light which takes away part of the fun, so Winter fashion is a bit more up my street! I've already got my eyes on a grey dress from ASOS so that I can work my Winter florals with some knits, socks, my (much loved) ankle boots and of course the silly head wear. Panda hats AND earmuffs... what more could a girl wish for? Well, maybe a little bit of snow?
Two years ago, I remember walking home late with a handful of friends when the first snow of the season fell, I remember feeling ridiculously happy as we all stuck our tongues out to catch the flakes!
I just hope that the rain and the clouds push their way in... sooner rather than later!
